Welcome to our Dog Day School and Puppy Academy, this is not a place where the dogs will come until the owner comes home, this is a place where they learn, they socialise, they are mentally challenged and they are supervised by people that absolutely know and love what they are doing.
Puppy Academy
Puppies under six months old, ideally around five months, are in the most critical development phase. Unfortunately, this essential stage is often overlooked due to the prevalence of irresponsible breeding practices such as backyard breeding and puppy farms. We are committed to changing this narrative at For the Love of the Dogs.
We focus on guiding puppies through their vital socialization period, ensuring they are exposed not only to other dogs but also to various environments, people, and stimuli. This process is handled with care, using positive reinforcement to foster confidence, resilience, and adaptability. Our goal is to help your puppy grow into a well-trained, balanced, and happy adult dog.
We take this developmental stage very seriously and would be honoured to support you and your puppy through it. You can trust us to provide the expertise and dedication your beloved companion deserves.
Training Academy
The training academy is a fully equipped training studio , which can be in classes or on a one to one basis, the beauty of this studio is it is built for optimal learning for your dog, we know in order for your dog to learn optimally, they need to be comfortable, happy and in a non distraction area, and that is what we have set this up for, if we can help your dog learn in these conditions, it can only benefit you, your dog, and your family. We cannot wait to meet you all and begin this journey with you.
Day School
Day School has been thoughtfully designed for dogs that are comfortable and non-reactive around other dogs. It is not intended as a space to teach socialization skills, which is why each dog undergoes a thorough assessment prior to enrollment. Upon passing, dogs are placed in carefully selected groups based on their size, age, and personality to ensure a positive and harmonious environment.
Your dog’s day will follow a structured schedule, incorporating a mix of supervised indoor and outdoor play, mental enrichment activities, training sessions, and rest periods. Our facility offers a heated environment with a variety of rooms tailored to different canine personalities. For dogs who prefer a more relaxed setting, we even provide a living room-style space where they can unwind and mingle at their own pace.
Based on the initial assessment, your dog’s individual needs will be considered when assigning their key worker, room, and schedule. These assignments are flexible and may be adjusted as we get to know your dog better, ensuring they receive the best possible care and experience at Day School.
